Letter of Welcome from the Director Dear Parents, I am delighted to welcome you to Jain International School . Whether you are new to the school, or a family returning to JIS, it is my great pleasure to welcome you for the 2022-2023 academic year. This handbook provides a great deal of the information you need about the school to help you with your day-to-day organization, and I hope that you will find it useful. While every effort is made to ensure that all the information in this book is correct, we will keep you informing if there are any changes that need to be made during the course of the year. As the year goes by, there will be much more information sent home about class and year group activities, outings, etc. However, this book is your first port of call about policy and routines. Please do make good use of it – there is so much here, and many questions can be answered by consulting it as a first line of inquiry. However, if for any reason what you need to know is not included here or you need any clarification, please do not hesitate to contact the school to ask. We have upgraded JIS till XII (Arts and Commerce) so that your child gets enrolled in the pre-primary wing and get full school education from the same organization. There are several channels of communication – your child’s homework diary, e-mail, SMS, WhatsApp, the newsletter, and of course telephone (all weekdays between 9 am and 3 pm). In the course of the year, there will be Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTM) and regular school reports to update you on your child’s performance. You are always welcome with your valuable suggestions to improve the present scenario so that we can do our best every time for your child. We are also planning to open new branch (to be affiliated to CBSE) from the next session (2023-2024) so that ample facilities can be provided for future. With best wishes for a great year ahead!
